Miscellaneous News Academic Partnerships and Infrastructure Improvements Recent News and Updates   Academic Partnerships: In late 2025, the University of Dschang signed a new academic mentorship agreement with six private higher education institutions to foster collaboration and improve educational standards in the region. Institute of Fine Arts (IBA) in Foumban:   The Institute has undergone reforms, including the establishment of commissions for managing and deliberating exams to ensure greater transparency and fairness. The Director has called for efforts to renovate existing, and in some cases, dilapidated infrastructure, emphasizing the need for a hygienic and attractive learning environment. The Institute has aligned its academic calendar and successfully started new academic years on time. Research and Scientific News:   A team led by a professor from the University of Dschang participated in a delegation that commemorated ancestors at a significant historical site, highlighting collaborative scientific news and publications. Researchers associated with the university are involved in diverse studies, including the epidemiology of injuries among youth football players, the prevalence of certain STIs in the local population, and the potential of natural antioxidants from fruit waste. The University of Dschang is noted for its bilingual capacity (English and French), which is a major asset for regional training and collaborative research efforts. Internal University Matters: During a New Year event in early 2025, the university honored best employees and retired staff and welcomed newly promoted lecturers. The university’s leadership reiterated its commitment to guaranteeing better working and studying conditions and positioning the institution as a proactive force in transforming society. The university community were also presented the newly promoted lecturers during the last CCIU and CAMES.  Professor Moupou Moïse, Secretary General of the UDs on behalf of the university community in his word praised the versatility and commitment of the Rector, highlighting advances in research and innovation. He reiterated that UDs must participate in the transformation of the society though   valuable commitment geared towards positive results. » UDs is a proposing force » he stated. Pr Moupou highlighted a plethora of activities that the University of Dschang has carried out over the year with success and the expectations of the university community. This was followed by the speech of the father of the collective Dynamics   Professor Roger Tsafack Nanfosso who extended his best wishes to the university community, congratulating the new teachers recruited and reaffirming his commitment to guaranteeing better working and study conditions. He invited all staff and students to work to make UDs an ever more attractive citadel of knowledge. The Rector received a very edifying gift   from the secretary General of the University on behalf on the university community. This ceremony marked an important moment in the life of the university as exchange of  handshakes  by the Rector and all the members of the university community crowned the day highlighting the importance of community and recognition.
